about a sharp and high frequency dominated sound and poor influence on mid
frequencies.
We found the Weber Mywatt preamp design to faithfully reproduce the design of the original Hiwatt amps with some technical improvements. The original Hiwatt design was created in order to counterbalance the imperfections of the frequency response of the speakers and cabinets build at that time, but with modern two and three way bass speakers systems this design is not optimal.

Our modification allowed for a well balanced sound
with the option of very linear straight forward settings as documented by our
before and after situations measurement protocols that come with all our custom
modifications.
